Selected on seven years of team experience with the M150 and the associated MoTeC software, and on the built-in traction control, launch control, gearbox control, datalogging and electronic throttle systems. The team runs two ECUs of the same configuration so one can sit on the engine dyno and act as a competition backup.
Shakedown 7-15-23, CR22. Ignition state was stuck in disabled and the engine state in M1 never changed from disabled on startup. All wiring was checked and an engine output test was performed on all cylinders before the engine run switch was disabled as the workaround.
Operates below its 100 C internal limit in service; measured 72 C after an endurance event.
