Baffle System

Purpose

Keep oil over the pickup during cornering and braking.

Function

A tray inside the oil pan with a triple trap door arrangement. The doors swing one way, so oil that sloshes outboard under lateral load cannot come back past them, and stays available to the pickup.

Design Process

Proven design that prevents oil starvation during maximum cornering force. Retained by welded tabs.

Aluminium, welded into the pan.
