Camber Shim (Front)

Purpose

Adjust front camber by shimming the top mount away from the upright.

Function

A discrete adjustment, as opposed to the continuous adjustment available through the arm rod ends.

Design Process

Camber is adjusted by adding steel camber shims between the top mount and the upright. This is the intended adjustment mechanism for the wheel hub assembly, as distinct from the continuous adjustment available through the arm and rod ends.

Manufacturing Process

Waterjet or laser cut from sheet.
